A letter from the website creator - To all readers, we are still at present in the process of adding links approving of the use of these remedies and links disaproving of these remedies. If you have or know of any links, information that could be added onto this page either approving or disapproving of the use of any of the below remedies please contact us - Thankyou
Irregular Periods
- Start Charting your cycle if you aren't already doing this, it will NOT solve the problem of your irregular period, however it will be ablet to tell you if you are still ovulating and fertile during the cycle or if you are having anovulatory cycles- women dont ALWAYS ovulate every cycle (meaning an egg IS NOT always released every cycle and you are not ALWAYS fertile every cycle)- charting your cycle will let you know when you are ovulating and when you are not, it will let you know if you are having more anovulatory cycles than usually (where you dont ovulate and aren't fertile)-it will detect problems like luteal phase defects (where the luteal phase isnt long enough- this causes problems with LH hormone developing properly to support 'any' pregnancies that might occur and therefore increases chances of chemical pregnancies and miscarriages) . All of these are Fertility issues that can be detected through charting and monitoring of your fertility patterns. Another reason to start tracking is even if you have irregular periods you can track your fertility giving you indications of your longest and shortest periods and can still give you some indications on when you may be fertile. You can do this by paper and pen (keeping a book and records) or you can do this through many different programs online- Fertility Friend - is one of many online charting programs and its FREE, you can still choose a paid membership which offers slightly more insight and access to a few more things- but overall what you really need to use to chart and track your cycles can be access via the FREE section..
DIET
Start asessing your diet are you eatting not enough, are you eatting too much, are you eatting a good healthy diet of fresh fruit & vegetables with foods that contain iron (meat if you are not vegetarian). - If any of these things stand out it might be worth making a change because Menstrual cycles also require adaquate diets.
Vitamins- sometimes women are lacking vitamins but don't relise it- it might be worth taking some form of womens multivitamin.
Stress- Start taking sometime to yourself to unwind and relax at the end of everyday stressful situations can impact on ccles
The Herb Agnus Castus is often used to regulate cycles.
Heavy & Prolonged Periods or Misscarriage - Heavy periods can be an issue for some, as can prolonged periods and miscarriage. For this there is a fantastic remedy which can be used to stop or ease bleeding.
Cayenne Pepper Tea - 1/8- 1 Tsp (the amount would depend on how you handle hot foods, its recommended only and 1/8 for a beginner cayenne pepper drinker and work your way up to larger amounts) mixed into a cup of hot water (not warm but not boiling either) then drink- you can either drink fast or as you would a cup of tea (try and stir often though if you are going to drink as a cup of tea because the cayenne pepper will sink to the bottom and it would be horrible to have to swallow a mass of gathered cayenne pepper when you reach the end of the cup). A bit of lemon can be added for taste (completely changing the taste) if its desired. Have a cup every few hours (usually settles by the 1st or 2nd cup)
Childbirth or postnatal heamorrage
Cayenne Pepper Tincture
Cayenne pepper Tincture should be made fresh at night. Using Fresh Peppers (Red hot or Jalapago)- cover completely with vodka(vodka should be straight unflavoured). Blend together and put into a jar. Leave it to sit for 14 days in the pantry only taking it out once a day to give it a shake before putting it back in the pantry.
On day 14 take the tincture out of the pantry and strain it- puring the now preserved tincture in a dropper bottle (these can be bought online for a few cents up to $5).
This tincture can be used to treat heamorrages esspecially those that occur as a result of childbirth.
Stops bleeding (internal or external), Heart Attack, Stroke, Shock. Revives, relieves fainting, dizziness, weakness and confusion.
For hemorrhage after childbirth, squirt 15-20 dropperfuls directly into the vagina. The bleeding will stop in seconds. If you havent pre-prepared the tincture freshly made tincture can be used.
However, if the cause of the bleed is not known to be something like a tear then the tincture is best consumed orrally- if it is consumed orrally this has said to cease internal bleeds. Cayenne pepper Tincture used directly on the vagina should be used as a treatment of tears only.If the Tincture is not taken orrally in the case of a heamorrage not caused by a tear the Tincture may not be able to cease the bleeding from the effected area.
Oral Tinctures or Cayenne Pepper Tea should ONLY be used to treat heamorrages that are not caused by tears
Cayenne Pepper Tea.
Cayenne pepper tea is also an effective way of stopping a heamorrage or excessive bleeding through heavy periods or misscarriage

IF EITHER OF THESE CAYENNE PEPPER REMEDIES ARE NEEDED TO STOP OR AID WITH A HEAMORRAGE ESSPECIALLY THOSE ASSOCIATED WITH CHILDBIRTH OR POSTPARTUM PERIOD AN AMBULANCE SHOULD BE CALLED AND MEDICAL AID SOUGHT IMMEDIATELY.

http://www.healingwiseforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=3363 - Please note: I quote, '"CAYENNE CAUTION: Although Capsicum is recommended by some herbalists as successful in controlling postpartum bleeding, this fast-acting herb is in disfavor among midwifes; some go so far as to call it dangerous. It does slow down a hemorrhage, but it also stimulates circulation. The danger hides in a false sense of security: having seemingly alleviated the problem, the midwife tends to other concerns, only to find that the hemorrhage has returned with increased vigor behind her back. In addition, Cayenne does not contract the uterus, a necessity if bleeding is to be totally controlled.'
To put foward this suggestion and link even more so is a email I received from a proffesional Healthcare worker/Midwife.called Jodie Baldry who gave me permission to post her email on this page.
Hi I was reading through your site with interest when I came across a statement which caused me some concern. As a professional health care worker/ midwife, working with women in pregnancy and postpartum, I found your reference to squirting a pepper cayanne tincture into the vagina to stop haemorrhage as something quite concerning. First of all, this in no way addresses the reasons for "haemorrhage" Which need to be addressed firstly, and there are four main reasons why women bleed after birth.... 1. Poor tone of the uterus... ( Placing a tincture in the vagina will not affect the uterus....its a completely different place!) 2. Tissue- retained placenta or products of pregnancy causing the uterus to not be able to adequately expel the contents, means women can haemorrhage. (Placing tincture in the vagina will not cause the uterus to expel anything... as this is primarily topical and not as effective as IV or IM oxytocic drugs)3. Trauma - tears of the perineum, vagina or cervix can cause women to haemorrhage...and a tincture placed into the area of the wound only increases the pain and the incidence of infection - that is why people do not place anything near the vagina after birth until the trauma is healed, and finally 4. thrombin or clotting disorders cause haemorrhage in women. Again a tincture is not going to resolve a blood clotting disorder...this needs medical treatment. Sooooo I would ask you to not advertise this sort of treatment for the cure of a PPH- haemorrhage post birth its very dangerous YOur information is not correct. I hope you can take this on board without offense as no offense is meant...only concern for correct wise information sharing. God Bless.
After contacting both Qualified Homopaths and Naturopaths to obtain said information and visiting numerous sites including information provided by 2 renown respected homopaths Dr Christopher and Dr Shulz through those links supporting the safe use of cayenne pepper. I posted details on this site after sufficiant research, that is at this point incomplete and I will continue adding links that support both the safety and danger of using Cayenne Pepper to ease or treat childbirth heamorrage. I have also requested for any supporting documentation that this midwife/healthcare proffesional might have against the use of Cayenne Pepper Tincture to stop Heamorrage to be able to post this to the site also to better inform people on the benifits and risks associated with all content on this site for which I receive a response- I quote the response email I received

I don’t know of any research into the medical influence of this sort of tincture in real pph scenarios as Im sure its never used by the medical profession. IS cayenne pepper the basis of an oxytocic drug ??? Im not a pharmacist so I don’t know. Maybe you could research that avenue. I guess this area is a clear example of the differences between medicine and complementary medicines… Homeopathy is not something practiced within obstetrics and its not used much in the midwifery profession either due to the lack of solid research based information. And where in doubt, best to opt out! So that’s probably one main reason why there isn’t info easily found out there. I think also there is a perception that its common sense not to use dubious remedies. Anyway all the best with your website. Jodie
I would like to thank this woman for her prompt and timely reply to our request for any information that disproves of the use of Cayenne Pepper for treatment or ease of PPH so that we might be able to add it on the site as further information for people.
Below is our response
Cayenne is used to slow and stop bleeds and has had many qualified homopaths and naturopaths back this up, it was even used during war times to treat soldiers wounds with great success. Unfortunately just because the 'obstetric' field does not widely use this it does not automatically mean that it is not successful or not effective in some capacity, but merely that at this stage there is insufficient amount of information out there to disaprove of the use.
Research and Qualified proffesional in the natural therepies route will state that when used correctly (for example to help bide time for emergency medical assistance to arrive if the heamorrage is quite bad) the use of this remedy can be helpful and safe. The fact that I cannot find nor do you know of any medical evidence against the use of this does not mean that it is Dangerous or ineffective- rather points towards the fact that at this point the effectiveness of the drug cannot be challanged. If you or anyone else (including myself) is able to find or has access to information to support the dangers of using this remedy I am more than happy to post them and include them (as I have by including your email etc onto the site to ensure people are more aware) otherwise I cannot post the information that disaproves of the use.
I will happily accept and post any information you may find or gather at any point in time on the site if you find any, as the site is soley an information based site on a non-advisory capacity I can assure you that will I continue searching for any information the 'disaproves' of the use.
Kind Regards.
I would also like to make it clear once again that this site is NOT an advisory site, it is one merely to provide information supporting anything frugal and family related- the way in which any person who reads this site chooses to interperet information provided here is through his/her own risk and any outcomes (whether positive or negative) through the use of any information provided on this site is at your own choice and risk

PMS
There are a few things that can be done to ease PMS symstoms and these things include
- Taking 1,000 Miligrams of Magnesium per day
-Increase your calsium intake or take a suppliment up to 1,500 calcium per day - this has been proven to ease symptoms
-Vitamin B6 reduces water retention (bloating associated) and increases blood circulation
- Vitamin E reduces breast soreness
- Black cohosh relieves premenstrual tension, menstrual cramps and water retention, helps control mood changes.
-Dandelion root is a very powerful diuretic that helps evacuate excess water and bloating, but is safer then commercial diuretic because it does not deplete potassium. Another important quality is that helps the liver discard estrogen thus relieving PMS.
